A woman is thankful her rescue dog helped her escape from a thief who plans a home invasion.

According to police report, a woman was in her living room enjoying Monday night TV shows when her pit bull rescue dog became flustered. The dog began barking and growling before running into the kitchen.
The woman followed her dog in her kitchen where she was bumped into an unknown man. The woman ran for the exit but the intruder came after her and tackled her on the floor. The dog then bit the intruder in the legs while the woman tried to kick herself free. The woman successfully pushed the intruder away who quickly ran outside.
The dog owner has since installed CCTV cameras and motion detectors outside her home. Police are still looking for the suspect
