Accordingly, the doggo is great at his job – bringing joy to people visiting the incident command post where he is stationed. The dog was deployed there because of the Beachie Creek Fire. Many officials have been deployed there and the dog is their source of relief.
The dog, named Probie, is a 13-month-old Golden Retriever and is a comfort doggo. The dog has been working with Sublimity Fire in the past and is now working more than ever. The owner of the doggo, Amber Cross, shared in a statement, “It has been very, very busy. We were up first thing in the morning, saying good morning to the crews, brightening up their day, seeing how they’re doing. It’s been impactful.”
This week, they will be comforting more people. They will be stationed at a 911 dispatch center.
