Reports say that the incident took place in Forsyth County in Georgia and it involved a former pet groomer named Michelle Louise Root previously working at Paw’sh Paws. She was found guilty earlier this week regarding the death of the dog last October 2017. Aside from the 2017 death, a March 2016 death of another dog was also linked to her. The former pet groomer allegedly kicked, choked, and dragged the dog that died just last year.
For the crimes she did, she received a three-year sentence and a two-year probation on top of the time she will be serving behind bars.
