The dog has been with the Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter since August and they named him Pistachio. The dog, however, has spent a lot of time in the shelter because prior to the aforementioned shelter, it was with Euclid Animal Shelter. The dog has been through a lot because he underwent surgery for inguinal hernia. The vet that worked on the dog later noticed that the dog had another mass. It was found out that he had lymphoma.
The shelter already had the dog undergo chemotherapy but this could only extend his life for a year or two. The shelter wants the dog to have a great life before he crosses the rainbow. The dog reportedly loves play groups and like being around other doggos. The dog also does well with cats.
