A doggo that belonged to the mayor of Attleboro, Massachusetts, died almost six months after she was diagnosed with an aggressive blood cancer. The dog was able to visit 24 states with Mayor Paul Heroux before she passed away.

Heroux took to Facebook to say that the dog, named Mura, was not a service dog but was a public service dog because she made a lot of people happy. On October, Heroux and Mura had a cross-country journey and they were able to visit a lot of places like Yellowstone National Park, the Grand Canyon, and Hollywood’s Walk of Fame.
The mayor decided to go on the cross-country trip with the doggo because he was advised by other people who also suffered from such loss to just treat the dog like a princes “for whatever little time you have left.”
