The City of Hamilton in Ontario, Canada receives 600 complaints about loud dogs annually. Dogs who have problematic barking will now be handled by animal control officers.
The officers will then visit the home of the dog owner who has a loud dog and educate them about how to get their pets to behave.
Officers will give the dog owners warnings then solutions but if the problem persists, the fine could be imposed.
The fines range from $75 to $25,000.
