The number of dog attacks on farm livestock has increased and a campaign just started asking dog owners to help livestock owners to stop the numbers from getting any higher.
– Many dogs have been attacking farm livestock and the numbers have increased since 2016.
– Such attacks cause injuries to the livestock that results to financial losses.
– Dog owners are urged to keep their dogs on a leash.

A campaign was launched and it aims to ask dog owners to keep their dogs on a leash if they live in the countryside.
Accordingly, the dog attacks on farm livestock increased by 67 percent all over the United Kingdom from 2016. Such attacks resulted to the farming industry losing £1.6 million.
Accordingly, a survey was also conducted on 1,000 pet owners and 60 percent admitted that they let their dogs and other pets roam the countryside.
The campaign also encourages local farmers and livestock owners to report dogs who are out of control to police officials.
