A doggo was taken to the Valley Animal Center in Fresno, California sometime in November of 2016. The dog spent 1,000 days at the shelter and was finally adopted by a family that gave him his fur-ever home.

The doggo reportedly underwent training with the shelter volunteers so that the chances of him getting adopted will increase. The doggo also had skin allergies so the shelter really focused on a special diet for him and gave him the needed medicines.
The then-potential adopter of the doggo named Marmaduke made repeat visits to the shelter until the adopter inquired about the special diet of the doggo. The adopter went back last week and finally made the adoption official.
The dog now gets daily walk, lots of attention, and a whole lot of love from its new owner.
