The Adams County Sheriff’s Office received a dog-in-distress call on Thursday morning. They did not know that the call would lead to the discovery of malnourished doggos.
– A dog was found in a ditch with injuries.
– At a nearby property, eight dogs were also found and three were malnourished.
– The dog found in the ditch might have been used in…
The chief deputy of Adams County Sheriff’s Office said that the call was initially about a doggo in a ditch. When the deputies got to the dog, they saw that the dog was malnourished and wounded. The doggo was then taken to Natchez-Adams County Humane Society. The dog might have been used for a dog fight training but the dog probably did not fight back thus it was placed in the ditch.
During the investigation, they noticed other doggos at a nearby property. Three of the eight dogs were also malnourished. The deputies also found the remains of a dead pup. The dog owner was not charged with anything.
The deputies then gave the dog owner two weeks to get the other dogs back in shape. The dog that was found in the ditch did not belong to the dog owner of the malnourished doggos.
