Experts in Norway are baffled because more and more doggos are dying from an unknown disease. The symptoms are vomiting and bloody diarrhea.

The Norwegian Food Safety Authority said in a statement that they are not sure if the disease is contagious or “just a series of individual cases.” In Sweden, the National Veterinary Institute said that they have been getting a lot of inquiries from dog owners regarding the disease but they currently do not have any information about the serious matter. Authorities did say, however, that dogs and other pets should avoid contact with each other to lessen the risk of more deaths.
One dog owner shared that his doggo died after they went out for a run last week. The doggo was taken to the vet two days later and was treated for several hours. They were able to bring the dog home but the dog’s condition worsened after a few hours. The next morning, the dog was found dead. There are no other symptoms aside from vomiting and diarrhea.
