Sad news was heard by the residents near a home that caught fire in Columbus, Ohio. A couple who had 11 dogs and one cat is devastated after their pets perished from the fire. All the animals died from smoke inhalation.

Now, a dog rescue group is asking for help for the couple. The couple are supporters and volunteers of Cause for Canines, a nonprofit dog rescue in the area. The couple has also fostered more than 50 dogs ever since they participated at Cause for Canines. The president of Cause for Canines said in a statement, “They’re devastated. They do everything for the dogs!”
The president added that although the donations would not replace the lives of the animals they lost, the money would “at least help them put the other parts of their lives back together. Other forms of donations like necessities and gift cards are also encourage.
It is unclear what caused the fire.
