The climber climbed one of the highest mountains in England after he saw a Facebook post about the dog owner hoping for help to come because her dogs have already been missing for two days.
The mountaineer, Scott Pilling, said that he knows how much dogs and other pets mean to people so he thought what he did was his moral obligation.
When he got to the top, he saw the two dogs on a connecting ridge. The smaller dog was covered in ice while the larger dog tried to protect its companion from the elements. One more stranger and three off-duty firemen helped Pilling make the rescue.
