The dog was reportedly visibly distressed as it was already panting. The dog was inside a Mini Cooper that was parked somewhere in Oakham, Rutland. On the day that the doggo was found, it was the hottest day of the year so far. Although the sunroof was open and the windows were let down a bit, it was not enough to keep the doggo cool. One of the onlookers was able to give the doggo some water through the sunroof.
Officers were later called to respond to the matter. It is unclear where the dog was taken or if the owners were cited for the incident.
