A family is thankful that their 24-year-old doggo remains to have a strong heart. The dog was adopted when it was 12 years old.

The family that rescued the doggo from a shelter said that they feared no one would want her because of her age so they chose to take her in. The family already rescued 12 doggos in the past and they all lived long lives. Although the dog, a Chihuahua, already takes a thyroid pill daily and has stiff back legs, the doggo still has strong lungs and heart.
The doggo still loves to go outside, gets along well with the other rescue dogs and rescue cats at home, and loves to sleep.
According to the American Kennel Club, the average lifespan of Chihuahuas is 14 to 16 years old.
