In Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a doggo died inside a hot car. The person responsible for the dog’s death actually carjacked the vehicle and left the animal there.
– A dog was found dead inside a vehicle.
– It is believed the dog died due to the hot temperatures.
– A woman was sentenced for leaving the dog inside the carjacked vehicle.
The woman was identified as Leslie Aguillard. The sentences against the woman are as follows: 12 years for carjacking, 10 years for aggravated cruelty to animals, 12 years for second degree battery, and seven years for an unrelated charge.
She stole the truck last summer while it was parked outside a donut shop. The dog was a Labrador-Weimaraner named Rohr and was inside the truck at the time of the carjacking. The dog owner tried to stop the car but was unable to do so. Later, the vehicle was found and the dog dead inside the truck.
Aguillard pleaded guilty to her charges last March.
