The dog flu virus remains a threat to many dogs. Just recently, six more dog flu cases were confirmed.
– An eighth dog has been diagnosed with dog flu.
– However, the dog did not come in contact with the first seven dogs who were infected.
– The dog flu started in Canada after two dogs from South Korea were taken there.

According to reports, the dog flu cases were confirmed in the Windsor and Essex Counties in Ontario, Canada.
This comes after two dogs were confirmed to have the virus after being transported from South Korea. The five other dogs came in contact with the initial two dogs. The last case, however, is not linked to the seven dogs.
The president of Ontario Veterinary Medical Association said that the dog flu may spread elsewhere in Canada. This is because the eighth dog, who was diagnosed with the canine influenza, did not come in contact with the first seven dogs. It is encouraged that dog owners have their dogs vaccinated.
