A family from South Australia claims that their vacation is now ruined after their son’s service dog was not allowed to enter a park. The eight-year-old boy has a service dog because he has brain injury from a tumor he was born with.
– A family from South Australian went on a vacation.
– Along with them is a service doggo.
– The family said the service dog was not allowed to enter because…
The doggo must be with the child at all times because the service dog supports the boy and is trained to respond to emergencies like seizures. The family went to Marion Holiday Park over the weekend but the service dog was not allowed to enter. The family said they were both angry and upset because of what happened.
The staff at the Marion Holiday Park claimed that the family did not show enough proof that the dog is actually a service dog. In a statement, the park manager said that the family was refused entry because the service dog was not a vision or hearing assistance dog.
The family is looking to complain with the Australian Human Rights Commission.
