Singer Barbara Streisand lost her dog Samantha. She then decided to clone her dead dog not just once but twice so she now have two identical dogs patterned from her dead doggo.

The “new” two dogs of Streisand, named Miss Violet and Miss Scarlett, were cloned from the cells taken from Samantha’s mouth and stomach. The original dog of Streisand, who was 14 years old, died in 2017.
According to Streisand, although the new dogs are clones, they have different personalities compared to Samantha. Streisand did say, however, that she is waiting for the two new dogs to grow older so she can see if they got Samantha’s brown eyes and serious character.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals said they feel Streisand’s grief over the loss of Samantha but they wished they could have talked her out of the cloning option.
