May athletes are dog lovers and one of them is Hayden Randle Hurst. The Atlanta Falcons player just donated $3,000 to a dog owner who was asking for help so his doggo can undergo an emergency surgery.
– A dog owner set up a GoFundMe for his dog’s emergency surgery.
– They were $3,000 short on the day of the surgery.
– Athlete Hayden Randle Hurst decided to…
Accordingly, the dog owner, Mike Gillespie, who is the sports director at ABC Columbia, they were taken aback by the gesture but they are very grateful. Their dog is an eight-year-old Golden Irish that they adopted more than four years ago. The dog reportedly showed signs of being sick over the weekend and did not improve the next morning. They took the dog to a veterinarian and it was determined that the dog had blockage in his intestines. If he was not operated on, the dog would most certainly die.
The dog owners made a GoFundMe account and donations came pouring in but they were $3,000 short on the day the surgery was to be done. On the same day, Hurst made the donation. After making the donation, Hurst even called the dog owner saying that he knows the treatment is expensive and he hopes that someone would also do what he did if he was in the same situation.
The dog owner is from South Carolina and it is known that Hurst attended University of South Carolina three years ago. One of the reasons Hurst is believed to have made the donation is because he did not forget the place where he came from.
