A dog owner was charged with animal cruelty and he pled guilty. This comes after an elderly dog had to be euthanized due to its poor health.

The investigation started last year after the North Bay and District Humane Society received reports about the doggo placed under inhumane conditions.
The dog is already 17 years old and was found tied to a dog house. It could not walk or move around and is clearly emaciated. There were discharges from its eyes and the dog also had open and bleeding wounds.
The dog owner recently pled guilty to the charges and was sentenced to two months of probation. The man also could not own a dog or other animals for 10 years. The dog owner has two more dogs and he has to show that they are receiving annual veterinary care. Unannounced inspections is also part of the sentence.
