The animal shelter is located at Summerville, South Carolina and it is designed to house only 80 doggos. Now, they have 120 doggos. Fifty of these dogs have been there for more than a month now while some have been there for more than six months now. The Executive Director of the shelter said that they are running out of space and some kennels already have two dogs in them while others are placed in metal pop-up crates.
They are now asking people to adopt doggos for only $40 or volunteer to have them fostered. The adoption fee already includes microchip, heartworm and flea prevention, vaccines, and spay or neuter. Those who want to help could visit the shelter from 12 noon to 5 P.M.
