Powhatan Animal Control in rescued a total of 19 doggos from inhumane conditions. The doggos were taken from a residence in the area.

The rescue happened on July 14 after patrol deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call in the residence on July 11. While responding about the domestic disturbance, the deputies noticed a doggo that appeared to be living in horrible conditions. They were called once again three days after the first incident and found 18 more doggos outside the residence. All of them were living in inhumane conditions.
As for the dog owners, there will be a seizure hearing regarding the animals. It could result to the possibility of filing criminal charges such as animal cruelty against the dog owners.
Because of the large rescue, the Powhatan Animal Control said that they are already at capacity and are not taking in new animals as of now.
