– It included a horse, pigeons, and dogs.
– The horse was hailed as a hero back in…
Not all the honorees were present because some of the animals that were thanked were from 100 years ago during the World War I. Some of the living medal recipients attended the event and one of them is Bucca, an eight-year-old rescue dog who has teamed up with fire marshal Joe DiGiacomo in hundreds of investigations that includes 29 murders. Another doggo was present at the event and his name is Bass. He works as an explosives detector and has been deployed with the Marines in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Somalia for the past 5 years.
One of the honorees is the horse named Reckless. She was wounded twice during the Korean War but despite that, she made 51 round trips to carry ammunition.
