Four pit bull puppies, forsaken in a car with no water and food for more than eight hours. They were saved by Key West police and animal control officers.
According to the police, the only fresh air for the 10-week-old dogs came from a small cracked in a window of the car dumped in the neighborhood of Bahama Village. It was Thursday with a temperature of 82 degrees in Key West , when the dogs were rescued and even reached 88 degrees according to NWS (National Weather Service).
Just imagine how hot actually it feels inside a car with closed windows. The trapped puppies were wading in their own feces which had piled up inside the car when they were found by the police. The next day they went to veterinarian for treatment of their poor skin condition and full check- ups.
What happened to the owner of the puppies?
The car Crown Victoria belongs to a couple according to the police. Jaboa Brown, 32, listed as homeless by police was jailed four days before the puppies were found becuase of criminal mischief and burglary charges.
He was still locked up in the up in the Marathon county jail on $18,000 bond.
