A total of 61 dogs and cats were removed from a home due to operating a kennel without a license. One of the home owners will possibly be charged.

Accordingly, two litters of puppies and four litters of kittens were among those removed from a home in Auburn. Auburn Police Detective Sgt. Scott Mills said that this is a case of animal hoarding.
Around 2016 to 2017, one of the home owners was charged with operating a kennel without a license. This time, the home owner might be charged with animal cruelty as well as operating a kennel without a license.
Authorities searched the home after receiving a report saying that the dogs and cats were living in unsanitary conditions. The dogs were kept upstairs while the cats were in the basement. Some of the dogs exhibited signs of neglect as they had matted hair.
